Psychodrama is closely linked to group work. Based on sociometric studies, Moreno presented principles governing the functioning of the groups and its participants. In the care of therapeutic groups, these references guide the director to follow the richness of the group’s life. However, in order to choose the most fruitful path to promote the development of participants, the director needs to consider the elements necessary for the group experience to favor therapeutic changes. This chapter presents some aspects of Moreno’s theory that can facilitate the choice of focus to be given in the direction of the group.
